Barcelona is a city in Spain which is a great place for enjoying sports and this city is especially good for water sports with Barcelona being a coastal city. You try can sports including jet-skiing, swimming, sailing and yachting.

In addition to being good for water sports, Barcelona is well-known worldwide for football. The names of players such as Thiery Henry, Ronaldinho and Messi will forever be associated with FC Barcelona. Football in Barcelona includes not only FC Barcelona and Espanyol but also the local lower level leagues.

One of the highlights of the year in Barcelona and which attracts people from across Spain, Europe and even visitors from further afield, is the annual Spanish F1 grand prix. At the same location there is the annual MotoGP with the likes of Valentino Rossi racing.

There are also plenty of decent gyms in Barcelona City, in addition to Barcelona swimming pools and centres, although alternatively you can choose to go jogging on the boardwalk and swim in ocean!

The Barcelona Open tennis tournament is also held annually and is worth trying to get tickets for if you are in the city. Barcelona and the surrounding area is also good for playing golf. There are a few golf courses and they are in scenic locations. You can also participate in a number of Barcelona corporate and hospitality events. Barcelona is a sports mecca and whatever sport you are interested in, this city has it all.
