Barcelona areas and barrios: Barceloneta
Barceloneta - Along the coast and next to Villa Olimpica, Barceloneta is known for its harbor and beaches. You’ll find some of the best seafood restaurants along Barceloneta’s main street, Passeig Joan de Borbón.
If you are renting then this can be a great area for daily visits to the beach and there is a Metro line which runs nearby and the Tourist Bus also runs by this area. If you really want to be able to walk everywhere there las Ramblas can be better. If you are happy to be very close to the beach and in a quieter area then Barceloneta can be ideal.
